According to Ghufron Mukti, CEO of BPJS Kesehatan, a medical check-up does not address the same disease risks as screening for catastrophic diseases. “MCU are not included in our (BPJS Kesehatan) calculations because they do not cover the guaranteed disease risks. We (BPJS Kesehatan) cover the risk of illness,” he stated on Thursday (4/6/2023).
BPJS Kesehatan will only cover the costs of examinations related to the diagnosis or treatment of existing diseases.
